Bethania land areas for sale

Bethania is a suburb of Logan City, Queensland, Australia. It is situated on the main Beenleigh railway line and lies south of the Logan River. Logan City is a local government area situated within the south of the Brisbane metropolitan area in South East Queensland. Situated between the City of Brisbane to the north, and the City of the Gold Coast to the south.

The Beenleigh railway line is a suburban railway line extending 40.1 km (24.9 mi) east-southeast from Brisbane Central railway station, the state capital of Queensland. It is part of the Queensland Rail City network. Transportation is, indeed, not a problem if you invest in land for sale in QLD on this great spot.

The South Coast railway line was an Australian railway from Brisbane, to the Gold Coast. It operated from 1889 to 1964. The Gold Coast railway line re-opened in 1996 along a modified alignment in the north and a new route south.

The Logan River is a perennial river located in the Scenic Rim, Logan and Gold Coast local government areas of the South East region of Queensland. The 184-kilometre long river is one of the dominant waterways in South East Queensland that drains the southern ranges of the Scenic Rim and empties into Moreton Bay after navigating the City of Logan, a major suburban centre located south of Brisbane. The catchment is dominated by urban and agricultural land use. Near the river mouth are mangrove forests and a number of aquaculture farms.

In the 2011 census, Bethania recorded a population of 4,590 people, 53.3% female and 46.7% male. The median age of the Bethania population was 41 years, 4 years above the national median of 37. 68.7% of people living in Bethania were born in Australia. The other top responses for country of birth were England 6.6%, New Zealand 6%, Scotland 1.4%, Philippines 0.9%, and Germany 0.9%.

Bethania was founded by Germans during the 1860s and is home to many different nationalities. By 1866 a small township had developed. It is believed the name is derived from Bethany, the biblical village in Israel.

A Lutheran church was built in 1864 made from slabs on what is now the railway line.
